The Regent as Head of State is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces (Oberste-Kommander des Reichswehr).

The Armed Forces are administered through the War Ministry (Reichskriegsministerium) by the War Minister (Reichskriegsminister) & the Commander in Chief (Oberbefehlshaber der Reichswehr), both professional military officers.

The Armed Forces are divided into 3 services.

The Army (Reichsheer)

The Army is a highly mobile, professional force organised to defend the land borders of Franconia. It contains Armoured Cavalry (Panzer-Reiter), Armoured Infantry (Panzer-Infanterie), Parachute Infantry (Fallschirm-Infanterie), & Infantry (Reichs-Infanterie) units, together with supporting Artillery, Anti Aircraft & logistic support troops.

The Army Air Service (Armee-Fluglinienverkehr) has the responsibility of defending the sovereign airspace of Franconia. It also contains the necessary aircraft to support the Army & to conduct retaliatory raids into an enemys area. It contains Fighter (Jagd), Bomber (Kampf), Ground Attack (Schlacht) Squadrons (Staffeln) & Transport units. There are also Reconaissance squadrons (Aufklarungsstaffeln) which can also be used in a bomber or ground support role.

The Navy (Reichsmarine)

The Navy has the responsibility of keeping Franconia�s maritime trade routes free from interference, & carrying any future conflict to an enemys shore. It can achieve this by using the power of its battleships, aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers & submarines.

The Militia (Reichssturm)

The Militia supports the regular armed forces by providing units to protect key installations in time of conflict. It also carries out civil assistance duties during peacetime.
